Featuring interviews with BBC's Chris Packham, Andrew Bauer, Peter Cairns, and Innes MacNeil, Return of the Wolves explores the social, economic, and ecological impacts wolves could have on the UK if they were to be reintroduced to the Scottish Highlands.

Return of the Wolves started as an ambitious idea for a final year university project but has grown into a film we can be proud to have produced, having pushed our abilities to create a documentary above the standards of your average student film. We filmed across two countries with locations that included the stunning Alladale Wilderness Reserve where we were fortunate enough to have a tour of the estate to film their deer population after our interview with Innes MacNeill resulting in some beautifully close encounters and filming opportunities. We also had the pleasure of filming at both The Wildwood Escot in Devon and the UK Wolf Conservation Trust in Reading, getting as close to the wolves as we could without entering their enclosures thanks to the very passionate and cooperative staff.

Return of the Wolves was mainly crowdfunded through Indiegogo and further self-funded by the Iris Productions team. We managed to raise £1462 via our Indiegogo page and we couldn't have travelled to half of the places we visited without the support from our backers.

We spent a total of Â£1641.01 on production costs and further funds were invested into film festival distribution. We managed to keep the budget low by securing interviews with people passionate about our subject matter who were willing to let us film for free, and the whole Iris Productions team worked for the project, not for profit. We even donated £63.25 of our remaining funds to Rewilding Britain to help support a cause we learnt so much about through this project.

We thank our contributors greatly for helping to shape our film with their views and helping to facilitate the making of Return of the Wolves.
